My name is Marcia Stein (click for business website) and I am in a group of a Human Resources professionals interested in growth and development in our field. Our events began with 14 women in January 1997 and has grown to a mailing list with over 1,500 women. Our free Bulletin Board is the most visited page on our site. Membership is free as are most events. We've had stellar speakers, great professional and personal relationships have developed, and people have found jobs and mentors. As a result of our volunteer work, in 2005 I received the Partners in HR Innovation Award from the HR Symposium. Please click here to read more about it.

Our team of volunteers meet in January to plan our events and select the speakers. We have monthly events to network, mentor and be mentored. In 1999 we enriched our group by offering specified events open to all women in our community. For specified events, we include our male colleagues.

Many of our speakers are well-known individuals in the Silicon Valley. For a list of previous speakers, topics, and some of their downloads, please click here.

Our mailing lists are not marketed, shared or sold to outside individuals. Please view our Privacy Policy. Please go to for instructions on how to join, provide feedback, change your email address or unsubscribe.

We now have a blog and you can contribute and earn HRCI recertification credits. Read details about earning credits here.

We've had so many discount offers that we have a new page!  Please click here to view current and past offers.

For a quick-start list of resources for new job seekers, please click on the resource page. I have presented information to job groups about utilizing job boards. For a presentation regarding reference checking - what candidates need to know, please click here. For additional and concise resources for people who have just been laid off, please click here. We had a presentation about insurance alternatives in January of 2009. A copy of the presentation can be downloaded here, and there is addtional information I complied in a Word document you can download here. In February 2003, we had a community event about finding alternatives to COBRA for the unemployed and underemployed. Information about the presenters and some valuable information about insurance can be found by clicking here. CALL TO ACTION! I am calling attention to unemployment and underemployment and the ravaging effects on our economy.

Support OurHRSite

As this group provides free meetings, resources and a bulletin board, it would be kind if you could provide a small contribution. If you'd like to help support the group or donate for posting positions, you can send a check to Marcia Stein at 10156 Camberley Lane in Cupertino, CA 95014 or you can send a secured payment via our PayPal link.

In the past, you could help support our site by looking for their books and other items via our Amazon Associate's link. Effective June 29, 2011, Amazon cancelled the California Associate's program. We will not earn any money through purchases made via our link and earned very little during our association, but it's still one of my favorite sites.

I would like to thank my husband, Bill Cox, for his hard work as our webmaster.
